MESSAGE FROM TUTORS
We will share some thoughts on the upcoming new media reality, and through an introduction to our project ‘Blood In The Mobile’ and other projects from round the web, we will give some concrete examples on the vast online possibilities for documentary makers and the business as a whole.
We will introduce the concepts of:
- day one marketing/ launching and audience building,
- crowd funding,
- network distribution.
We will make it possible to discuss the participants’ own projects, and explore the new media possibilities in them.
Frank Piasecki Poulsen: Danish film director who directed among other films ‘Guerrilla Girl’ (2005), and ‘The Seducers Fall’ (2008). Franks current project is the documentary ‘Blood In The Mobile’ – a film on illegal mining in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Mikkel Skov Petersen: New media specialist and web entrepeneur. Former web editor, journalist and press- and communication officer with a political party in the Danish Parliament. In 2009 he and Frank Piasecki Poulsen founded the company Spacesheep, together with major Danish Film and TV production company Koncern.
