Berlin Meetings
Bill Chartoff, producer of ROCKY BALBOA and $ 30m Jason Statham led THE MECHANIC, currently in post, is confirmed as one of the speakers at Initialize Films Co-Production Meetings at the 2010 Berlin Film Festival.
The event which runs from 12 – 15 February at Olswang’s offices in Berlin features over 20 international experts giving insights into local production and co-production strategies in over 10 territories as well as opportunities to network with international producers at daily drinks events.
Leading development agency Initialize has run similar events at Toronto and Berlin with some success, helping to broker deals and raise production finance. Initialize MD Ian Davies said that similar networking events were planned for Cannes, Toronto and AFM.
Production strategies covered at the Berlin Meetings include:
Day 1 – 12 February – Focus on Germany, UK, Scandinavia and Benelux
Day 2 – 13 February – Focus on France, Spain, Italy, Hungary
Day 3 – 14 February – Focus on US
Day 4 – 15 February – Focus on Australia, Brazil and Canada
