DigiTraining Plus 2009

We are pleased to inform you that the 2009 edition of the course “DigiTraining Plus 2009: European Cinemas Experiencing New Technologies” will again be held in Great Britain, from 25 February to 1 March 2009. The initiative will be based mainly in London but – a new development in 2009 – the programme will also include a visit to Hull, where Europe’s first purely digital multiplex is in operation.

The DGT course – now being held for the sixth year running – is the only training initiative by the European Union’s MEDIA Programme to concentrate on the new technologies from the point of view of the movie theatres. Since 2004 it has been informing and updating exhibitors and representatives of professional associations and public institutions in Europe on the situation and prospects for the digitalization of cinemas. The course provides both the necessary technical knowledge and the competences needed in the field of management and economic planning for evaluating the risks and opportunities involved in the digital transition.
