Sigrid Klausmann, born in the Black Forest, grew up with six siblings. Her childhood, she says, has been the cornerstone for her interest in art and children. At first, she worked as a sport teacher, she was a modern dance teacher and choreographed several full-length plays with young people. Since 2003 she has been working as a director and jointly with her husband Walter Sittler founded Schneegans Productions.

Since 2011 Sigrid Klausmann works as the leading director of the short film series “199 LITTLE S*HEROES”. The films has won several awards around the world.

Sigrid Klausmann will complete her career as a filmmaker with “GIRLS DON’T CRY”. Her wish is to empower the girls with this latest work.
