Marta Folkmane began her media journey at the Young Media Sharks camp in 2014, later joining the YMS team. She helped develop the Young Media House concept in 2017 and has since worked with YMH as a volunteer, live broadcast host, and panel moderator at YMH in-house events and others including ZZ Čempionāts, Staro Rīga, and the Lampa festival. She holds a BA in Graphic Art from the Art Academy of Latvia (2024), has illustrated books, worked on movie sets as costume and production designer and co-created the Riga International Film Festival’s visual identity (2021–2023), with two editions nominated for the Latvian Design Award.
